should know about English Sentences and its types. Sentences are the most
essential part in any language. As knowledge of Sentences in necessary, the
expression of the Sentence is also very important. Let’s discuss about this
briefly with Sentence Examples.
What
is a Sentence
As we know English alphabets are twenty six (26).
The combination of alphabets is called word and combination of one or more than
word is called Sentence. Sentence meaning is that one or more than one word
together make a Sentence. If an individual wants to learn English, he must know
about the Sentence types.
There are many types of Sentences in English but
main are four and other types are the subtypes of these types. Let’s learn those one
by one.

Affirmative Sentences
Affirmative Sentences are also called Simple
Sentence or Positive Sentence. They have simple meaning without negation and
question. Here are some examples of Affirmative Sentences.

Check carefully all these sentences. They are all in
positive statement. They have no negation and question, no matter what tense

Negative Sentences
These Sentences are opposite of Affirmative
Sentences. These Sentences have directly negation. Let’s have Examples.

Let’s see these Sentences, these are completely opposite of
Affirmative Sentences. Normally these sentences contain ‘Not’ in there.

Interrogative Sentences
These Sentences are used to ask something. They
contain the question in there. Check out the examples.

Remember Interrogative Sentence always contains
(Question mark) ‘?” at the last of the Sentence. It shows that there is a

Interrogative + Negative Sentences
The combination of Negative and Interrogative
Sentences is called Interrogative + Negative Sentences. It contains both
negative and asking expression, Let’s have some Examples.

Role
of Expression
For a good speaker, it is very important to use the
right expression for the right Sentence. Means Negative Sentence should be
spoken with Negative Expression and Interrogative Sentence should be spoken
with asking expression. Without Expression of Speaker it is very hard to explain
anything.

combination of words is called Sentence.
There are four main types of Sentences.
Affirmative
Sentences: simple
of positive sentence with no Negation or Question.
Example: Harry is a
Doctor.
Negative Sentences: The Sentences
which have Negation or the word ‘NOT’.
Example: Harry is not a
Doctor.
Interrogative
Sentences: These
sentences are used to ask something containing ‘?’ at the last.
Example: Is Harry a
Doctor?

of Negative and Interrogative Sentences.
